Property seekers throng Axiom Estates India show
Wednesday, 06.27.2007, 01:20am (GMT-7)

 India Post News Service

SANTA CLARA: Axiom Estates, a premier India property services provider for NRIs worldwide, held its Silicon Valley 'Property Road Show 2007' at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA on June 23 and 24. One of a series of US shows, the others being held earlier at New York and New Jersey, the event attracted a crowd of prospective property seekers. NRIs from all walks of life, young and old, the retirement home seeker and the investor, the single property buyer and the real estate fund member were among the visitors to the show.

Hiranandani, Aparna, Raheja, Godrej, Rustomjee, Eldeco were some of the Indian builders who had their representatives at the road show. Besides information from property developers, home loan information was provided by a Citibank help desk.

Axiom Estate Chairman Rajesh Goenka and COO Alok Banerjee along with Ena Sarkar, regional head, were at the road show. Other Axiom Estates executives shepherded visitors around the convention center hall to different real estate regional booths for information. They also explained the various property management services the company had to offer to clients including letting (rental) management and resale options.

The streamlined registration and efficient property representatives were appreciated by most people. However, at certain times, the throngs of eager prospective buyers turned out to be overwhelming, leading to people at the booths having to wait in line. This was also a consequence of the perceived boom and confidence in the Indian property market, which none of the participants wanted to miss out on. All in all, the road show was a huge success with the attendees praising the organization and the information available on both metros and Tier II cities. Most were heard to comment that this was an improvement on last year's already excellent road show.
