King to quit after tri-series in Australia
Sunday, 02.17.2008, 11:00pm (GMT-7)

NEW DELHI: Indian cricket team's trainer Gregory Allen King has decided to quit after the ongoing tri-series in Australia, leaving another support staff position vacant in the last two days following physio John Gloster's resignation.

BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said King, who was contracted with the BCCI till December, 2007, had decided against seeking an extension.

"He has expressed his desire not to continue (as the Indian team's trainer) after this tour (of Australia), citing personal reasons," Shah said. King's decision to quit the post comes a day after physio Gloster announced that he would not continue in the post citing personal reasons.

Gloster is due to get married later this year.
