IPL to review accreditation norms
Wednesday, 04.09.2008, 03:57am (GMT-7)

MUMBAI: Buckling under pressure, the Indian Premier League authorities said contentious clauses in the media accreditation norms will be reviewed and a new set of guidelines will be issued soon to sort out the vexed issue of media accreditation for the Twenty20 extravaganza.

IPL Governing council chairman Lalit Modi made the announcement here after meeting representatives of news agencies and newspapers who voiced their apprehensions about the stringent media norms.

"I have held meeting with representatives of different media, discussed the contentious issues and new media accreditation guidelines will be issued soon", Modi told reporters at the BCCI headquarters.
