LNSO celebrates Ram Navmi- Harijayanti
FREMONT: The Laxmi-Narayan Dev Spiritual Organization affiliated with Shree Swaminarayan Diocese of Vadtal (India) had a big Ram Navmi celebration on Saturday, April 4 at the Fremont Hindu Temple, marking a very successful major public event yet again.
LNSO is successfully providing a bridge to divinity and an avenue for people to get together and celebrate various Hindu festivals. It was a big occasion as it was Lord Swaminarayan and Lord Shree Ram's combined birthday celebration which falls on the same day per Hindu calendar.
The celebration was blessed with the presence of visiting Downey Temple priests Shastri Dev Swami and Swami Hari Prasad, accompanied by Shree Kaushik Patel. With immense blessings of Lord Swaminarayan, our Swamijis (Saints) provided religious discourse and an extraordinary Ram Navmi-Harijayanti Satsang program of devotional songs, religious speeches, Ramayana katha of Lord Shri Ram's birth & Lord Hanuman's devotion towards Shree Ram.
The learned Swamijis simultaneously recited Sanskrit verses from various Hindu scriptures taking spiritually the entire audience of nearly 300 people to the time back in history when Lord Shri Ram appeared in India, went on exile, fought Ravana and established the victory of good over evil. Swamiji emphasized on the teachings of Ramayana & how we must incorporate those good virtues in our daily lives.
Swamiji also spoke about the significance of Lord Ram & Hanuman in Swaminarayan faith, and how the Hindu religion uniquely defines the various appearances of Lord from time to time to destroy the evil and establish righteousness.
Our devotes were reminded about the power of devotion in the life of people, the significance of Vadtal Diocese, and the important role that LNSO organization would play locally for the people of San Francisco Bay Area.
