Earth Day celebrated with science exhibition & contests
FREMONT: Earth day was celebrated by kids and youth in Fremont Hindu Temple. On the occasion a science exhibition was organized. Kids /youth displayed various charts, working models on spreading awareness about environment, recycling, planting more trees, protecting the environment and securing the planet and making it a better place to live.
A public speaking competition was also organized. Kids of ages from KG to Grade 8 spoke about how they would make Earth a better place to live, protect environment.
Raj, 8 years old and a Grade 3 student urged the audience to “reduce energy, reduce pollution, and plant more trees. Raj further said don't shift the burden to the next generation. It is time to stop talking and start acting to protect Planet Earth”
Several hundred visited the science exhibition and listened to the speeches of parents. It was a great way to create awareness about environment and global warming among kids and parents.
Ajay Bhutoria said this was a great way to build future leaders and spread awareness about environment protection and global warming. The event was organized by Ajay Bhutoria, Chairman Fremont Temple Youth Committee and Vinita Bhutoria.
The judges included Manorma Joshi, Nirmal Aggarwal, Tarun Anand and Ajay Bhutoria.
