Fletcher Jones launches new Mercedes C- Class Tuesday, 09.25.2007, 11:05pm (GMT-7) India Post News Service FREMONT: Fletcher Jones Motor Cars in Fremont, CA held a launch event to promote the new Mercedes C-Class model on September 20. Seven years in the making, the new 2008 C-Class has already raised a buzz on the internet. Boasting a wider and lower stance for superior aerodynamics, and new engineering standards for an entire industry, the C-Class represents the best in ergonomic design. The earlier C-Class chassis has been replaced by a new structure which boasts clever adaptive dampers and a new rear suspension design. It also comes equipped with the Agility Control option, a lower suspension and new 18-inch wheels and tires. With over 70 percent of its chassis made from a high-strength steel alloy, Mercedes has created two versions of the car- Sport and Luxury. All variants get seven airbags, adaptive braking, adaptive brake lights that flash rapidly when braking hard, auto headlights and wipers and dual-zone climatic air conditioning. Cabin options include infotainment system with Bluetooth, 175mm color display for TV/sat-nav and computer, voice-control that accepts spoken words, and an iPod/MP3 plug-in server with a 4GB memory Fletcher Jones Motorcars is the largest family owned Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States. Brian Pyne, General Manager along with General Sales Manager, Mike Bates and Internet Manager, Sama Hanif were at the launch to answer questions about the new car. With wine, food and a live band, customers went home feeling as rejuvenated and refreshed as the new models which came out this year. Has taking 7 long years to change the model styling, ergonomic design, and engine power paid off handsomely for Mercedes?
