Rapid expansion of Sonasoft channel partnerships
Monday, 05.21.2007, 03:48am (GMT-7)

SAN JOSE, CA: Sonasoft Corp., provider of SonaSafe Integrated Backup/Recovery & Replication software has announced the expansion of its channel program to capitalize on the momentum it has already built in the market place.

The new initiative builds upon the Company's increased traction in high availability and data protection market. Sonasoft products not only received great acceptance in the SMB market place but also with enterprise customers. Also, Sonasoft products are getting excellent traction in Europe and Asia. The company increased its channel presence by signing a distribution agreement with SYNNEX Corporation in North America. Also, it has signed a distribution agreement with Netswitch in Asia Pacific and Bell Micro in Europe.

To ramp up the activity in North America, Sonasoft recently hired Rick Caylor, an industry veteran who brings more than 20 years of channel experience. Rick worked at Avnet for 18 years and held various sales management positions culminating with the role of managing two different global business units at Avnet.

The business units were dedicated to Solectron and Cisco. Cisco sales grew basically from zero to just over $60M in a little over 3 years. Under his direction and strategy, the Solectron business unit grew from $19M in 1998 to just over $500M by 2001.

Sonasoft partner program is designed to help new and existing Sonasoft partners acquire customers through such benefits as:

• Partner marketing resources including seminars, webinars, and lead referrals

• Joint sales engagement opportunities with dedicated sales and technical resources

• Sales and technical training

• Financing through Microsoft financing program

• Registration of deals to prevent channel conflict "I'm delighted to be part of a company which is like a rocket on the launch pad and is ready to take off. Sonasoft has made tremendous progress in 2006 and through the new channel program, we hope to achieve even faster growth in 2007 and beyond.

We are the only company that provides an integrated solution and customers really like our offering," noted Rick Caylor, Vice President of Sales at Sonasoft.
