VSNL set to transfer retail Internet business

MUMBAI: Videsh Sanchar Nigam (VSNL) will hive off its retail Internet business unit into a subsidiary to simplify the holding structure and to allow for possible unlocking of value in future. The company's shareholders approved the spin-off at the annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai.

FIPB permits Autoliv’s India venture

NEW DELHI: The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) has given a conditional go-ahead to Swedish auto-component manufacturer Autoliv's independent venture in India. It has ruled out the clash of interests through violation of Press Note 18, as alleged by its Indian partner IFB Automotive Pvt Ltd.
