LOS ANGELES: Based in Encino, CA. and founded in 1933, SITA World Tours, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. The privately held company, owned and managed by Roger Mahal, Chairman and CEO, and President, Mok Singh, is a tour operator with a legacy of providing exemplary service to the American market for outbound destinations such as Africa, India, Australia, China & the Orient, South America and European River Cruises.

In addition to celebrating the company's 75th Anniversary, SITA has recently been awarded 'Top Tour Operator to India from the America's' by India's Ministry of Tourism. The National Awards Ceremony was held in both New Delhi and Orlando, Florida during the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) convention. SITA continues to prominently promote tourism to India and is proud to be recognized for its efforts once again, having won the award in 1996, as well.

SITA's ability to attain such a prestigious honor is a testament to the company's remarkable track record and consummate brand. SITA offers a myriad of travel opportunities, including independent, escorted and family travel, wildlife safaris, cultural expeditions, unique culinary tours, train excursions and customized journeys. Another important aspect of SITA's programs, is its cuisine offerings on its departures, which are varied and catered especially for the Indian Diaspora.

SITA has expanded its product line in 2008 to also offer Eastern Europe and Russia; countries that are fast becoming a popular tourist destination, even for budget minded travelers.
