Kingfisher to fly NY-Bangalore non-stop
Monday, 06.30.2008, 01:17am (GMT-7)

India Post News ServiceCHICAGO: Kingfisher Airlines that has successfully spread its vast network in the shortest span of time in India, is now all set to enter Europe and United States soon. Kingfisher will fly from New York to Bangalore non-stop.

This was revealed by Siva Ramachandran, Kingfisher’s Vice President–Global Sales, in a dinner meeting with Midwest travel agents. The meeting was arranged by Kingfisher’s local office recently in Schaumburg. Kingfisher Sales Manager B Chandrasekhar introduced Ramachandran to all invited guests.

The “Good Times” airlines as the CEO Vijay Mallya describes it in his message, the title derived from a reference made to Vijay Mallya himself as the “King of Good Times”, comes to Europe and U.S. with brand new fleet of aircrafts flown by a team of highly trained and skilled pilots. The kingfisher also claims to have a “paperless” cockpit as the pilots are backed by most sophisticated digital communication and navigation system in the skies.

The Kingfisher is also CAT III-B compliant, which means it is equipped to fly and land in the most abysmal foggy conditions. Chicago’s known and senior travel agents were present for the meeting, including Birju Bhagat from Krisbi Travel, Masood Akram from Sky Bird Travel, Asghar from Aero Travel, Siddiqui from Evia Travel, Mathew and Shibu from Imperial Travel, Ken from Air Tours and many others.

The travel agencies’ managers and staff attending the meeting were also given brochures highlighting the Kingfisher’s comforts, facilities and services on board and ground. The Kingfisher offices in United States will soon announce its upcoming schedule.
