Emirates announces daily A380 service from NY

CHICAGO: Emirates, the award winning airline, made aviation history as it landed the first commercial flight of A380 aircraft into US soil on August 1 this year. The Emirates will operate A380 flights 3 days a week to Dubai non-stop from New York and will have it daily from October 26 this year. This was announced by Ali Kazmi, the local Sales Manager as he addressed the heads of Emirates Midwest Consolidators shortly after an Iftaar break in Chicago.
The Iftaar and dinner party was hosted at Usmania Restaurant by the Emirates Chicago Office. Emirates Midwest Consolidators joined the Iftaar and a short presentation about Emirates new service with world’s largest capacity aircraft A380.Among those present were Birjubhai Bhagat and J Bhagat from Krisbi Travel, Umesh Patel, Masood and Adnan from Sky Bird Travel, Iqbal of MI Travel, Ali and Zubair from Pleasant Travel, Khan and Rizwan from RK Travel, Faizan from Evia travel and many others.
Ali Kazmi spoke about Emirates new A380 service and many other added attractions for the US passengers. New A380 features 14 first class suites, 76 flat bed business class and 399 economy seats. All cabins are equipped with over 1200 on demand channels and personalized HD TV screens.The Emirates Airbus A380 will offer a range of innovations to make journeys more comfortable and enjoyable for passengers travelling in all classes, he said.
First Class passengers can relax in one of 14 private suites, with seats that convert to fully flat beds. Emirates is also the first airline to introduce two fully-equipped bathrooms in its First Class cabins, including shower facilities.
The aircraft also features two bar areas, one for First Class and the other for Business Class passengers. Business Class passengers can relax in seats that convert to fully flat beds up to 79 inches (two metres) long, whilst those travelling in Economy Class can stretch out in seats with a pitch of up to 33 inches.
Passengers in all classes can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning ICE (information, communication, entertainment) Digital Widescreen in flight entertainment system, which features over 1,100 channels of on-demand entertainment. Each cabin also features a unique, advanced mood lighting system, complete with a starlit sky. This adjusts throughout a flight to reflect the time at the destination, and to help combat effects of jet lag.
Ali Kazmi also pointed that In addition Emirates is launching service from LAX on Oct 26th three times a week and from SFO on December 15th three times a week as well. At present, Emirates is offering a super saver fares for passengers traveling to Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. For winter break, Emirates also offers special fares to India and Pakistan destinations.
