NEW YORK: Pradeep Anand, author of An Indian in Cowboy Country, announced that he would contribute all royalties received from sales of his book during the 2007 holiday season to three organizations- Pratham, March of Dimes, and Fort Bend Education Foundation.

He set a royalty contribution goal of $15,000 for improving lives of children through these organizations. "This is the time of the year to share the warmth of the season with our families and friends. It is also time to count our blessings and turn our hearts to the less fortunate, especially children," said Anand, who is Vice President at Preng & Associates, a Global Energy Executive Search firm.

"March of Dimes, Fort Bend Education Foundation, and Pratham are three special organizations that focus on improving children's health and education," he added. To accomplish his goal Anand has launched an email viral program, enlisting the help of his friends and colleagues. He hopes that his message will be seen by 1.5 million people in North America.

"I believe that this viral program will propagate effectively through my network and their subsequent connections. I am optimistic that a substantial number of email recipients will be moved to help children this holiday season," he added.
