USINPAC annual delegation to visit India
Monday, 12.24.2007, 01:14am (GMT-7)

NEW YORK: Just months after its historic grassroots "shuttle diplomacy" visit to India on behalf of the US-India Civilian Nuclear Agreement, the US-India Political Action Committee (USINPAC) leads a delegation of prominent business leaders, entrepreneurs, political activists, and professionals from the Indian-American community to India for high-level business and political meetings.

The fifth annual USINPAC delegation led by Chairman Sanjay Puri will arrive in Bangalore on Jan 2, 2008 and complete its visit in New Delhi from Jan 7 through Jan 9. Puri describes the annual USINPAC delegation, "as a singular opportunity for leaders in the Indian-American community to meet and dialogue with business and political leaders in India at the highest levels."

He goes on to say, "we have always been given the best of welcomes by cabinet ministers at the federal and state levels, leaders of the opposition, and top executives of India’s most important companies." Puri concludes, "This kind of welcome and degree of openness there to Indian-Americans simply underscores the society-wide commitment in India to building and maintaining bridges with the Indian Diaspora and that community’s importance in advancing the US-India relationship."
