Anand Jon Case: He tried, I said 'No', he stopped
Tuesday, 10.07.2008, 06:03am (GMT-7)

LOS ANGELES: Monday in the Anand Jon case more clues were revealed regarding the hacker that broke into Anand Jon's computers. It was revealed that Britny O, another Jon complaining witness, was also seriously involved with the hacker that had been involved in obtaining attorney-client information from the computers of Anand Jon as well as his email accounts. Anthony Brooklier during the cross examination of Britny O showed the holes in her and her best friend, Janice Z's, stories.

Janice Z was certain of many small details, but it was clear that when listening to her best friend for almost 12 years that the stories didn't match up, the differences were clear as to the simplest details. What was also clear were the changes that exist from the grand jury and any initial and subsequent police questionings.

The fact remains that the recollection is supposed to fade as time passes, yet many of these "alleged victims" claim that their memory gets better. Britny O was also a fan of the "I don't recall" excuse. The three things that she does recall 1) Body odor, 2) sleeping with no clothes on and 3) slipping in the bathroom.

Nothing else is clear in her mind yet she kept giving her opinion on what she "speculated" as fact. It was the same for her friend Janice Z. Most of her testimony was based on speculation of what she surmised happened. Simple contradictions like Britny O pouring herself her own drinks. And admitting to being in control of her actions.

Also, at the end of her testimony she was faced with her text messaging and phone calls to the defendant after her claims of assault. She was sending text messages to Anand Jon the whole day after she was allegedly assaulted to the tune of 58 in total. Even more strange is that Britny and Janice went to the Beverly Hills Police Department to fight a parking ticket they had gotten that night and never reported anything about an alleged assault. In addition, her extensive communication with another witness in the case, Holly G, after the initial arrest was also introduced. Oddly, Holly G is associated with several of the complaining witnesses in this case.

This communication is intriguing as it could lead to additional motive to lie on the stand based on Britny O's communication with Holly G. What is also important was information obtained outside the jury presence. Britny was active in communicating with the hacker that hacked into Anand Jon's computer and email account(s). She was speaking to him for several hours on multiple occasions. In fact, the hacker gave Britny password access to Anand Jon's email accounts. She actively enjoyed having this access. It is important to note that she knew what she was doing was illegal and handed everything over to the District Attorney's office.

This occurred around June of 2007. This information was never turned over to the defense as it is required. Also last week there was testimony of Eve M. Eve was a mystery as she clearly stated on many occasion during testimony that she likes Anand Jon. She harbors no ill will or bad feelings even today. Only the fact that she was young at the time of the consensual encounter is her only complaint. However, there is much question as to whether anything ever even existed to equal a complaint. Defense attorney Leonard Levine during cross examination played a video recording that was taken by the police. During that hour long abbreviated recording Eve adamantly denies anything ever happening sexually between them.

Then a letter that she wrote Anand Jon specifically states that people of different ages can be friends with no sexual involvement whatsoever. (Note: In one portion of the letter there were racist comments that are referred to in this email by the arresting and interviewing officers.) Nicole G was over the top. She was quite the actress and in her final day of testimony was head to toe dressed in leopard print. She weaved a tale of being hit on by Anand Jon, but in the end looked foolish as nothing really happened. Again, a common mantra throughout the trial: he tried something. I said no, he stopped rang out with this witness.

Her friend Allan Hurd was interesting as he tried to convince that Nicole G had told him everything. However, as the interviewing detective that took the initial and subsequent reports testified that nothing was ever said to law enforcement about any sexual assault. Most of the witnesses in this case are coming across as weak.

They seem unprepared to withstand any cross-examination by the defense attorneys. There are many "I don't recall" moments as well as "He tried. I said 'No' and he stopped." This clearly does not amount to assault or rape. It is a situation that every man finds himself in when out with a woman: He tried something. She said no. He stopped.
