MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: The Times of India Group, India’s largest media conglomerate, presented the First Gaana Music Festival on 19 and 20 May at the befitting venue Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
This spectacular two-day event gathered the biggest names in Indian music including Arijit Singh, Mika Singh, Usha Uthup, Benny Dayal, Kanika Kapoor, Gippy Grewal, Amaal Malik, Armaan Malik, Ayushman Khurrana, Akriti Kakar, Prakriti Kakar, Sukriti Kakar, Indian Raga and Penn Masala.
Gaana Music festival was the first ever two-day Indian music event in the US, taking the audience on a journey to experience the most talented and celebrated singers, all under one roof and on one stage. The euphonious evenings were a wealth of musical styles that left the audiences mesmerized and wanting more.
With a never seen before line-up of 14 artists, the Gaana Music festival was the perfect platform for experiencing different music genres. Starting with the ultimate diva of Indi pop Usha Uthup on Saturday to the king of romance Arjit Singh on Sunday evening, the two days were power packed with the melodies of Malik brothers; the power punch singing of Mika Singh; the beats of Benny Dayal; Punjabi pop by Gippy Garewal; Ayushmann Khurrana’s charismatic songs; Penn Masala’s cappella magic; Kakkar sisters’ euphony and Indian Raga’s heart-warming collaborations.
