ST LOUIS: The 125th anniversary of the address by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of World Religions, held September 11-27, 1893, will be celebrated with illuminating talks by world renowned scholars and speakers, a slide show, poster exhibition and a musical program.
The event is scheduled for May 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hindu Temple Education and Cultural Center in St Louis. Swami Vivekananda’s immeasurable work at the Parliament and his subsequent contributions to the spread of Vedanta in the West are well known and documented.
Four talks will cover various facets of Swami Vivekananda’s contributions.

- Vivekananda’s Addresses at the Parliament of Religions by Swami Sarvapriyananda, Minister, Vedanta Society of New York
A souvenir containing inspiring articles on Swami Vivekananda written by senior monks and nuns of the Ramakrishna Order and devotees will be released during the program, which is being organized by The Vedanta Society of St Louis, India Association of St Louis, the Hindu Temple of St Louis and Mahatma Gandhi Cultural Center.
