Saahas for Cause is a non-profit organization that strives to uplift the quality of life of the South Asian community living in Southern California.
This population faces many hurdles in realizing their American dream of a good career with job satisfaction, a small business from the comfort of their home or office, or to be a highly successful entrepreneur. Lack of knowledge, resources and a push in the right direction, can be the roadblocks.
Recognizing this gap in service, Saahas for Cause decided to connect advice seekers to the leaders from the business community in Southern California. Thus, Start Grow Scale, a free annual networking event with continued year-long mentorship was born in the last year, 2022 in collaboration with TIE SoCal.
30 Saahas for Cause staff and volunteers, and 10Saahas youth interns put in 4 months of planning, tireless outreach in the community to encourage mentors to give their time and expertise and; enroll mentees.
The Start Grow Scale event that concluded on July 15th, 2023, had 53 mentors of which 4 were walk-ins and 137 mentee registrations, of which 42 were walk-ins.
The attendees ranged from high school students looking for professional internships to small business owners looking to establish and expand their businesses.

When organizations and like-minded people come together, they create a partnership that supports, guides, and challenges the achievement of their goals.
