Ashok (Pat)Patnaik has been elected as the Chairman for the Parks and Recreation Commission, City of Cerritos, CA. He has previously served as a Commissioner with the City for almost 14 years in Parks and Recreation, Economic Development and Community Safety. He also serves as the chairperson on the oversight committee on the bond measure – Cerritos College, CA.
Patnaik is in the employ of Wallis Bank, Cerritos, and currently serves as the Vice President for Small Business Lending. Prior to the banking stint, Patnaik worked for major US corporations most notably Dresser-Halliburton as a Global Marketing Manager and has traveled to almost 36 countries setting up Joint Ventures throughout several continents.
On the social front, Patnaik is the Vice President, the National Federation of Indo-Americans, an umbrella organization serving the Ind-Americans. He organizes Independence Day through the UFICA organization in Southern California for which he has been the founding president of the organization.
Patnaik, a long-term Cerritos resident, holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering degree from National Institute of Technology, India and has as an MBA from Pepperdine University, CA.
