Ekjut Theater started in 2014 marks 10 years in 2024 and celebrates with 3 plays in each of their planned productions this year.
This was the 19th production of the not-for-profit organization started by Promila Kumar. Ekjut is an amateur theater group and its objective is to provide a platform for anyone interested in the performing arts and providing entertainment to the community. The not- for-profit group aims to bring literature, the social and cultural aspects with its plays. It has debuted 100 persons to performing arts.
The spring production staged on 4/27 at Center Stage Theater with 3 comedy plays namely “Tajmahal ka tender’ a classic satire written by Ajay Shukla, ‘Khane mein kya hai’ – a comedy on a social issue and a light-hearted comedy on finding love between 3 couples in ‘Pyar ka panchnama’. The event was sold out and the audience enjoyed the plays.
There were 20 cast and team members; there are several new actors debuting and few were actors with previous experience.
