CHICAGO: The forthcoming Presidential election in USA appears to be heading for a strong showdown as incumbent Barack Obama is enjoying a slight lead over his Republican rival Mitt Romney.
Indian American community is agog with pulls and support from both the camps and it is in this context it is interesting to note a Sikh woman Navreet Kaur Heneghan will be a delegate to the Democratic Convention on September 6 at Charlotte in North Carolina.
Navreet will be representing Dupage County Democrats Dist. She was elected during the March elections as a delegate for the Convention. She is a lawyer by Profession and went to Kent Law College in Chicago for her degree. She has three beautiful children. Her husband Chris Heneghan is City Inspector. Music is her passion. She played violin all her life. She was selected to be on Junior Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Navreet is daughter of community activists Thakar Basati and Rajinder Kaur Basati.
