Ambassador Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan inaugurated the new chancery premises located at 71 Stevenson St., Suite 2200, San Francisco, CA 94105 of CGISF with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, along with Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, OFM Regional Director Mr. John Choi, and in the presence of prominent members of the Indian community. In her address, Ambassador Ranganathan highlighted the strength of U.S.-India bilateral relations and the pivotal role of the Indian diaspora as a bridge between India and the United States. The ceremony was followed by a reception attended by around 200 members of the Indian community.
H.E. Sripriya Ranganathan is a career diplomat who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1994, immediately after obtaining her Masters’ Degree in History, with specialization in Modern Indian History, from Delhi University. She has served in Myanmar as the second in command at the Embassy of India, Yangon. Her other overseas postings were in Ankara and Hong Kong.
Consul General Dr Srikar Reddy welcomed Ambassador Sripriya, community leaders such as Dr Romesh Japra, Rajesh Verma, Chandru Bhambhra and many others to the event. Dr Reddy said as of January 13, 2025, in-person Miscellaneous Attestation Services are available by appointment only at this location. Walk-ins are not permitted.
Appointments can be scheduled through their official website. Additionally, the Consulate holds an “Open House” on all working days from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM to address grievances related to Consular Services, including Passports, OCI cards, Visas, and Renunciation. Entry to the Open House is strictly by appointment.
