Americans4Hindus Condemns Gunfire Incidents at ISKCON Utah as Potential Hate Crimes; Urges FBI Investigation

Americans4Hindus

July 4, 2025 – USA: Americans4Hindus expresses deep concern over recent nighttime gunfire incidents reported at the ISKCON Temple in Utah. These alarming acts, which appear to be targeted attacks on a peaceful Hindu place of worship, may constitute hate crimes against the Hindu minority community in the United States.

We stand in solidarity with the ISKCON community during this distressing time and commend the Utah County Sheriff’s Office for their swift response and commitment to increasing patrols around the temple to ensure the safety of worshippers.

Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of Americans4Hindus, stated:

“Given the rising trend of temple vandalism and Hindu hate crimes—including acts of violence—we strongly urge the FBI to launch a thorough and transparent investigation. We call on FBI Director Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to ensure that such heinous incidents receive the appropriate federal attention and action.”

Americans4Hindus reiterates its commitment to defending the civil and religious rights of Hindu Americans and ensuring that places of worship remain sacred, safe, and respected across the nation.
