WASHINGTON: Mayor of the Texas city of San Antonio, Julian Castro – considered a rising star of the US Democrat Party – would lead a trade delegation to India early next year.
The nearly two-week trade delegation being organized by Alamo Asian Chamber of Commerce beginning January 21 would take Castro and his accompanying businessmen to Hyderabad, Chennai and New Delhi.
The Chamber manages sister city relationship between San Antonio and Chennai.
Some 20 people representing various city and government bodies, trade bodies and corporate leaders are expected to travel with the San Antonio Mayor.
