FREMONT, Calif.: The Vihangam Yoga Meditation event was successfully held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Fremont Hindu Temple, bringing together hundreds of spiritual seekers and members of the Hindu community from across the Bay Area.
The event was jointly organized by the North America Institute of Vihangam Yoga (NAIVY), Fremont Hindu Temple, Americans4Hindus (A4H), and the Festival of Globe (FOG) to promote India’s ancient spiritual science of meditation, Vihangam Yoga, revived by Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj. Born in a small village in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, Bharat, Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj attained the highest spiritual realization after 17 years of intense penance. He made extraordinary contributions to the revival of Brahm Vidya and composed 35 sacred scriptures, including Swarved, an encyclopedic record of spiritual experiences, despite having received little or no formal education. He also played a significant role in India’s freedom movement. In 1920, he was imprisoned by the British for 2 years for his powerful address at Danapur Military Cantonment.
The keynote speaker, Sant Shri Naam Deo Ji, the great-grandson of Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj, captivated the audience with his humility, clarity, and profound spiritual insights. Widely respected for his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Sant Shri Naam Deo Ji has been leading Vedic Yagyas, meditation programs, and spiritual discourses around the world.
The program commenced with the singing of Vande Mataram, followed by recitations from Swarved and a visual presentation showcasing the magnificent Swarved Mahamandir in Varanasi, one of the world’s largest meditation centers dedicated to spiritual practice and self-realization. Participants were then guided through a session of Vihangam Yoga Meditation and Pranayam. During his discourse, Sant Shri Naam Deo Ji emphasized that Vihangam Yoga is not merely a meditation technique but a practical science of self-realization that enables individuals to experience inner peace, mental clarity, and spiritual awakening. He encouraged participants to incorporate meditation and pranayama into their daily lives as a means to reduce stress, develop inner balance, and foster harmony within themselves, their families, and society.
The program concluded with an engaging Q&A session, followed by a vote of thanks, leaving participants inspired to deepen their meditation practice. The event also featured the felicitation of distinguished guests, including Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of Americans4Hindus and the Festival of Globe (FOG), who welcomed Sant Shri Naam Deo Ji and reaffirmed the importance of preserving Hindu values, strengthening community service, and promoting India’s spiritual heritage for future generations.
