South star Tamannah got her first major Bollywood break in Sajid Khan’s comic action movie ‘Himmatwala.’ Now Sajid Khan has decided to cast her in his next film ‘Humshakal’ as well, with Saif Ali Khan. It is said to be
a remake of yesteryears’ laugh riot ‘Angoor’ (1982).
Earlier, it was decided that the Sri Lankan beauty and Sajid’s girlfriend Jacqueline Fernandez will do the lead role in ‘Humshakal’. As the relation between director Sajid and actress Jacqueline turned sour, she was replaced by Tamannah.
What was the reason behind this breakup? It is said that Sajid wanted to get married and settle down while Jacqueline wanted to pursue her career and didn’t wish to be bogged down by marriage.
A close source states, “He was trying to control her, telling her what films she should do and what she should not. This did not go down too well with Jacqueline who is young and very ambitious.”
The source adds, “She knows Bollywood is not kind to married actresses and does not want to ruin her chances. She is not in a hurry to settle down but Sajid who is nearing his 40’s, wants to get married and have a family. This led to a huge showdown between the couple and they have called it quits.”
