LOS ANGELES, CA: Saleena Khamamkar and Yash Patel were crowned Miss India Globe 2013 and Mr India Globe 2013 respectively at the world pageant on August 24 at the Los Angeles Renaissance.
Produced by Spirit Of India, the gala was presented by Homestead and Co-Presented by Star TV, Sacramento Kings, South Asia Magazine, JINmodels.com, & JNB. South Asia Magazine revealed their latest issue with cover girl French supermodel Nabilla, who walked the red carpet and thrilled everyone with her presence.
Emcee for the pageant was Director Revi Chohan and Mr India Global 2012 Sunny Tripathy who kept the audience enthralled and loving every moment of the show being shot by Star TV’s camera crew (to be seen internationally at a later date on Star Plus).

Jinnder hosted a private celebrity lounge which was only for celebrities and sponsors. Catering was by Spice Hollywood and Music/Sound by DJ Scorpio.
A fashion show for S. Beatus designer line by Rubina Dilaik, who is known to Indian TV fans as ‘Radhika’ – the main character in Zee TV’s ‘Chotti Bahu’ – was revealed to all.
The gala brought awareness on Jagriti, a charity group with President Dr Parvin Syal addressing the audience on their work with domestic violence issues in the South Asian community.
The Elite Awards 2013 were presented to Bollywood producer/director Kunal Kohli of Fanaa, Hum Tum fame; singer Raghav; actress Navi Rawat of Numbers, The OC fame and Hollywood producer Sunil Perkash of Salt with Angelina Jolie. The awards were given in recognition of exceptional achievement and excellence in their field and for being an inspiration to others.
Highlights of the evening were when singers Anjali Dea and Raghav took the stage and excited the audience with their surprise performances.
Winners for the Miss India segment included: Miss India Globe 2013 – Saleena Khamamkar; Miss India Global 2013 – Lipi Patel; Miss India America 2013 – Anisha Patel; Beauty of India 2013 – Rittika Roy; Miss India Galaxy 2013 – Dhruti Patel; Star TV People’s Choice 2013 – Tulsi Shah; JINmodels.com Miss Photogenic 2013 – Faraah Mazra.
In the impressive male segment the winners were: Mr India Globe 2013 – Yash Patel; Mr India Global 2013 – Akshay Patel; Mr India America 2013 – James Ralph; Star TV People’s Choice 2013 – Akshay Patel; JINmodels.com Mr. Photogenic 2013 – James Ralph.
In the Mrs. India segment, the winners were: Mrs India Global 2013 – Afsha Rangwala; Mrs India Galaxy 2013 – Shikha Mohta; Mrs India America 2013 – Zahra Patel; Star TV People’s Choice 2013 – Afsha Rangwala; JINmodels.com Mrs. Photogenic 2013 – Zahra Patel.
Judges for the beauty pageant this year were: Bollywood Producer/Director Kunal Kohli (Fanaa, Hum Tum), singer Raghav, actress Navi Rawat (Numbers), Hollywood producer Sunil Perkash (Salt), actor Mark Famiglietti (Terminator 3), actor Brawley Nolte (Nick Nolte’s son), actor Lane Garrison (Prison Break), CEO of Bridgestreet-Sean Worker, and Hollywood writer Bill Kelly (Premonition & Enchanted).
Presenter Homestead hosted a private party on August 23, where some pre-judging occurred. The awards won included: Best Smile 2013 – Sanam Desai; Best Catwalk 2013 – Pavan Basra; Best Hair 2013 -Karishma Patel; Best Eyes 2013 – Tulsi Shah and Best Fresh Face 2013 – Shivani Gupta.
Spirit Of India’s next show is this month on September 29, Mr/Miss/Mrs India North America 2013 in the San Francisco area with actress/model Lisa Ray and other celebrities, plus hosted by Indrani Pal-Chaudhari.
