Malaika Arora has performed a special song for the film Pataakha, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. In Hello Hello, Malaika makes an appearance after the lead pair discusses job prospects. When Namit Das’ character tells Radhika Madan’s character that he has applied for a job at the telephone authority, she asks him what that means. This line provides a smooth transition to the song, titled Hello Hello.
The lyrics include references to Whatsapp and late night phone calls between sweethearts. “Aaja network ke bhitar keh ke hello hello,” Malaika’s ‘character’ sings as she dances in a circus tent and men with rifles stare lecherously at her.
The song has been composed by Bhardwaj, written by Gulzar, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and performed by Rekha Bhardwaj.
