Akshay Kumar recently shared the first look from his upcoming film Kesari and it created waves of excitement among fans and the Bollywood fraternity.
The actor took to social media to share an adorable picture of him dressed as British-Indian Sikh soldier and his young co-stars playing Afghani kids from the sets of Kesari. He said, “Innocent smiles galore on set today. Shooting with these lovely children playing Afgani kids in #Kesar based on the Battle of Saragrahi, one of the bravest battles fought in India”
Akshay, who is busy experimenting with roles with each passing film, has yet again picked an interesting content-driven story-line for his forthcoming production with Karan Johar.
Sharing his first look he said, “Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always”.
Kesari is based on the encounter between 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and a 10,000-strong troop of Afghani tribesmen in the Saragarhi outpost of the North-West Frontier Province on 12th September 1897. Though vastly outnumbered, the regiment is said to have fought to its death in what is hailed as one of history’s greatest last stands.
