Bollywood’s popular villain Sudhir, whose real name was Bhagwandas Mulchand Luthria, breathed his last after battling lung ailment for several years. He was fondly called ‘Bhagu’ by his friends. He was seen in super-hit movies like ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, ‘Deewaar’ and many more. He also played one among seven brothers in Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Satte Pe Satta’ as well as Shahrukh Khan’s detective flick in ‘Baadshah’.
He was mostly seen playing antagonist in the films of 70s and 80s. Sudhir remained unmarried throughout his life and left behind a bungalow in Andheri. The news of his death was not passed to many as the veteran actor was a private person and wanted to keep everything to himself.
It is said that Sudhir was the younger brother of filmmaker Milan Luthria’s father.
