CHICAGO: American Telugu Association organized a Meet & Greet with ATA leadership at Garden Terrace Banquets in Chicago on January 16.
The meet was in the context of a huge Silver Jubilee Convention scheduled from July 1-3 at Rosemont Convention Center, Chicago. More than 12000 Telugu people from across United States, India and other parts of the world are expected to attend. ATA is inviting several prominent dignitaries, community and political leaders, celebrities, religious and spiritual gurus from USA and India to grace the occasion.
Several local Telugu associations have pledged their support to make the Silver Jubilee Convention a grand success. Jagan Bukkaraju Conference Co-Convener, expressed gratitude to all the Telugu organizations around Chicago land area for lending their support to the conference.
Among others it was attended by ATA President Sudhakar Perkari, founder Srinivas Pinnapureddy, past convener Paramesh Bheemreddy, past conference coordinator Bhuvanesh Bhujala, Trustee Hariprasad Lingala, Regional Director SE Anil Boddireddy. All attendees have committed to make this event a memorable event in the entire history of ATA.
ATA leadership has interacted with about 400 conference committee Chairs, Co-Chairs, members, volunteers and answered a number of questions from audience related to past conferences and discussed strategies to be adopted for 2016 Silver Jubilee Conference.
As part of this event, many committee chairs have provided an update about several planned activities and the status thereof. Speaking on this occasion, Conference Coordinator Kamala Chimata motivated volunteers to make the Silver Jubilee Convention a success.
The designated ATA Silver Jubilee Conference Convener Chandrasekhar Reddy expressed tremendous confidence in the ATA Convention Team. ATA Conference Co-convener Krishna Mushyam thanked everyone for their participation and contribution.
KK Reedy Conference Chair for fundraising activities, updated the attendees on the current status and future plans. He informed that there is tremendous enthusiasm from Telugu Community across United States to participate in the conference due to various community service activities that ATA is involved in both USA and India. Fundraising events are being planned in Washington DC, New Jersey/New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and neighboring cities.
ATA Founder Sri Hanumantha Reddy urged all Telugu speaking community members to come together to celebrate this event. He said this Convention is of the people, by the people and for the people of Telugu Community across the globe.
