CIDCO announces house lottery in Navi Mumbai

MUMBAI: Town planning agency, the City and Industrial Development Corporation, has announced a lottery for over 14,000 affordable houses in Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Dronagiri areas of Navi Mumbai

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), a state planning agency, on August 11 announced a lottery for 14,838 affordable apartments in the Navi Mumbai area. The online registration process for this scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, has already started.

What does CIDCO lottery offer:  The apartments are being constructed for the economically weaker section (EWS) and low income group (LIG) categories, he said. There would be 5,262 apartments in the EWS category and the rest in the LIG. The carpet area of the EWS apartments will be 25.81 sq meters and will carry a price tag of Rs 17-18 lakhs, while for the LIG category, the carpet area will be 29.82 sq meters and will be available for Rs 25-26 lakhs.

Important dates: The application process will begin from August 15, 2018 and will be open till September 16, 2018. The draw will be conducted on October 2, 2018. The entire process will be online. CIDCO has opted for a complete online process for a housing scheme, for the first time.

Localities on offer:  The buildings will be constructed at 11 locations across Navi Mumbai. These localities include Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Dronagiri. The maximum number of units will be built at Taloja.

Eligibility: To apply for the CIDCO lottery 2018, the applicant’s monthly income should be Rs 25,000 for the EWS category while for LIG apartments, the average monthly income could be between Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000.

How to apply: The entire application process has moved online. The scheme will be live till September 16, 2018. The CIDCO helpline can be contacted for technical help, at 8448446683.

Step 1: Log on to lottery.cidcoindia.com/App

Step 2: If you are a new user, click on the ‘Register for Lottery’ tab. CIDCO announces lottery for over 14,000 affordable houses in Navi Mumbai

Step 3: You will be redirected to the Applicant Registration Form, where you have to enter the basic details along with your mobile number, which will be used for all future communication. CIDCO announces lottery for over 14,000 affordable houses in Navi Mumbai

Step 4: On the next screen, furnish your PAN card, Aadhaar Card and bank details, for refunds. You will also need to upload a cancelled cheque, as well as passport-size photo of the applicant.

Step 5: Once you confirm the registration, you will be redirected to a screen, where you will be able to see whether your uploaded documents are approved by CIDCO. This might take up to 24 hours.

Step 6: Once your documents are approved, the ‘Apply’ button will be enabled. Select the scheme that you want to apply for and note the code number for the same. You can select the scheme from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: The applicant can apply for the scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Step 8:  Select applicant type. You can apply for the scheme individually, as well as jointly. If you are applying jointly, furnish the basic details and PAN card information, which will have to be approved by the CIDCO officers.

Step 9: Select the allotment preference, if you have any. Read the terms and conditions and whether you would be interested in other schemes, which have vacant apartments.

Step 10: Confirm the application and lottery details. You can use NEFT/RTGS, credit card, or net banking, for making the payment. Print the acknowledgment slip, sign at the applicable places with the applicant’s photograph. Upload this slip and proceed to the payment. PTI
