Usually media shy, Abhishek Bachchan these days has become quite media savvy and likes discussing everything under the sun be it about his career, or about his darling daughter Aaradhya.
When asked about signing films, he said he goes purely by his gut and instinct. “I take just about five minutes in deciding to sign a film,” said the actor, who is currently shooting for Farah Khan’s Happy New Year with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
“It is a difficult role as there is lot of comedy and I find doing comedy tough. In fact, being intense is easier. I found those intense scenes in Sarkar Raaj easier, the camera would pan on my face and I could show intense expression,” explained Abhishek.
Giving example of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se that didn’t work at the box office, Abhishek justified by saying, “When I heard the story I was completely bowled over but it is not only about being in the 100 crore club.”
Further, talking about multi-starrers, he said, “People ask me why I was doing multi-starrers… but even my dad did multi-starrers, didn’t he? There is nothing wrong in that.”
