SAN FRANCISCO: The Consulate General of India, San Francisco, successfully organized the “Viksit Bharat Run”, bringing together members of the Indian diaspora, friends of India, community organizations, and local residents in celebration of India’s vision for a developed and empowered nation by 2047.
The event, held at the iconic Golden Gate Bridge witnessed enthusiastic participation from runners and walkers of all ages. The “Viksit Bharat Run” was not only a celebration of fitness and well-being but also a symbolic expression of collective commitment towards building a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable India.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Dr Srikar Reddy highlighted the significance of the initiative:
“The Viksit Bharat vision reflects the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians to see India emerge as a developed nation by 2047. We seek to engage our vibrant diaspora and friends in the U.S. to be partners in India’s growth journey.”
Participants carried placards and banners promoting themes of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), digital transformation, clean energy, and global leadership.
The Consulate expressed gratitude to community partners, volunteers, and local authorities for their support in making the event a resounding success.
