PHAGWARA: The Cyber Crime Police Station of Kapurthala recently raided the Taj Hotel on Palahi Road in Phagwara, Punjab. The hotel is promoted and managed by BJP supporter Sabi Tori.
Acting on intelligence information, Kapurthala Police busted a major cyber fraud racket in Phagwara. The cyber fraud gang mainly targeted people in the US and Canada, under the guise of providing software facilitation.
36 accused have been arrested from the site with 40 laptops, 67 mobile phones and Rs 10,00,000 in cash were recovered from their possession.
