Model-turned-actress Bipasha Basu, who has come a long way in the industry, says she has always picked unconventional roles.
Be it playing a character with grey shades in her first film Ajnabee, to playing a sensuous character in Jism to her forthcoming horror thriller Aatma, the actress has defied conventions.
“When I started my career, I was 18 years old and I was bored with modeling. I took my first film due to this reason only. I got a lot of criticism for that,” said Bipasha, who has done about fifty movies in over a decade.
“Many of them said that I am too unconventional, but I never felt bad about it. At the beginning of your career, you never have a choice. You have to take what comes your way. I have always done unconventional roles,” she added.
\The 34-year-old also did films like Raaz, Corporate, Pankh among others.
