In recognition of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, both SAHARA and SAN had the honor of joining together to recognize and spread awareness of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) within the South Asian Community in Southern California. This march was held on October 29, 2022 on Pioneer Blvd in the City of Artesia, to create awareness of IPV within the South Asian Community.
Joining the cause, the Mayor of Artesia, Melissa Ramoso, and councilman Ali Taj, marched alongside board members, staff and other South Asian community members.
The incidence of Domestic Violence has skyrocketed since the pandemic started and SAHARA has been serving these valiant survivors throughout this crisis. We at SAHARA, have supported Southern California community members for over three decades and we will continue to transform the lives of the victims of domestic violence to become survivors.
