NEW YORK: Dr Sachin Chopra was recently elected to the Medical Board of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Nursing home. The teaching facility was founded in 1888 and is one of the oldest healthcare providers in the tri state area. The hospital has a 115 million dollar operating budget; 1200 employees; 194-bed acute care hospital and a 200-bed nursing home.
Dr Sachin Chopra is a graduate of Cornell University, New York Medical College, and NYCOM. He was awarded the prestigious “Resident of the Year” Award at the Long Island Jewish/ North Shore Health System at Plainview; and was also honored by the New York State Assembly and the New York State Senate for medical care helping the critical care and underserved populations.
Chopra thanked his family and colleagues, and said he was honored to be a part of the medical team that is dedicated to patient care. He said he was eager to bring about change, and encouraged those around him to improve the Health care system in the years to come.
