ELGIN: Senior Parivar, Elgin celebrated the first anniversary of its formation with a beautifully organized Mothers’ Day program. The day long event, held at the residence of Chairman Dhirubhai Suvagia, was attended by more than 250 seniors and their families on Saturday, May 16 from 11 am to 7 pm.
The program was studded with songs appreciating mothers, recital of bhajans and Garba dance by the female members of the group. Snacks and a delicious dinner was fully sponsored by Dhirubhai’s family.
Mansukhbhai Patel offered flowers to members whose birthdays and wedding anniversaries fell in the month of May. The weather was beautiful with the sun shining the entire day. Seniors were seen mingling, talking and enjoying the day. It certainly felt that life is enjoyable at any age.
The day’s events were efficiently handled by Chairman Dhirubhai Suvagia, Secretary Jayendrabhai Desai, Treasurers Jagdishbhai Thakkar and Sureshbhai Parikh.
It was announced that the next program will be Samuh Satyanarayan Katha on 28th June in Stream Wood.
