FREMONT: East Bay Youth Cricket Association (EYCA), a 501 C3-non-profit, proudly hosted cricket tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend. Five local cricket academies (EYCA, California Cricket Academy, Cricket Zeal Academy, San Ramon Cricket Association and Milpitas Cricket Academy) competed in two age categories – U12 and U15.
More than 150 kids (boys as well as girls) participated in the tournament that included venues from Morgan Hill to San Leandro. Several parent volunteers pitched in to make this tournament a great success. After a hard fought tournament, CCA won both, U15 and U12 categories while EYCA was runner-up.
This was the first time when all Bay Area Youth cricket academies competed in local tournament and ultimately “Cricket” was the winner. EYCA thanked all for their support for the event.
