EVANSTON: First Bank & Trust Managing Director Jay Lytle accepted the 2013 Community Service Award from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Evanston (NAACP) / North Shore Branch.
The award was presented recently at the NAACP 2013 Freedom Fund Banquet at the North Shore Holiday Inn in Skokie. The award recognizes noteworthy people or organizations for their efforts at enhancing the community in alignment with the NAACP mission.
NAACP / North Shore Branch President George P. Mitchell said, “First Bank & Trust’s cooperative spirit in supporting our organization and others is greatly appreciated. In particular, we recognize your support of “The Public Service Challenge” and other efforts. You are good community partners.”
Expressing thanks while accepting the award, Jay Lytle said the First Bank & Trust was founded 18 years ago, and from day one “we have believed in putting community first. That means participating whole heartedly in the communities we serve and call home, and doing our part make it a better place through volunteering, sponsorship, and delivering the highest level of service.
Because when our community thrives, we are all better off.”
First Bank & Trust is a locally owned and managed community bank founded in 1995 by Bob Yohanan, Howard Kain and Jay Lytle, with a mission to put community first, and provide personalized banking and investment services to individuals, owner-managed businesses and the not-for-profit community.
Now in its 18th year, the grown from a staff of 12 to a staff of over 100, with nine locations.
