The elegant and hugely appealing Devon Ka Raja came at 2623 W Devon Avenue near the Ganesh Ji temple to the delight of his devotees and continued to shower his subtle blessings to all who came to have his Darshan.
It was a sight to see people from across Chicagoland – all suburbs – and even neighboring States flocking to Devon and the surge will be continuing for the ten days till the final Visarjan – the immersion – of the idol.
The day started with Aarti at 11.30 am and the place was open till 10 pm when the evening Aarti was performed amidst singing of devotional songs and chanting of Ganpati Bappa Moriya. The practice will continue till the immersion, said Nirmal Shewkaramani who has been the main inspirer for Ganesh ji to come to Devon area.
His wife Smt Gurubachan Kaur, along with family members and supporters, were seen doing a wonderful job arranging and conducting the entire affair with grace and devotion.
