NEW YORK: Etihad Airways, along with Evolve, presents The Splendid Indian Closet, a fashion tour showcasing Indian couture, luxury fashion and prêt lines by some of the biggest and brightest icons in the industry. The event on Sunday Oct. 27 at Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Performing Arts, 195 Norfolk Street, Lower East Side, NY, is part of the India Unlimited platform, a series of multi-city fashion, dance, food, and cultural events taking place around Diwali to bring India closer to the world.
The event includes: Lisa Ray for Satya Paul – “Ray of Hope” Saree Collection, first time in NYC; Genesis Colors’ Sanjay Kapoor; Joy Mitra’s “Chokher Bali” Collection, an ode to late filmmaker/actor Rituparno Ghosh, fresh off the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week runway in Delhi last month; Soha Ali Khan, actress and host – show stopper for “Chokher Bali” collection; Etihad Airways; Shehnaai Couture; Local Celebrities/Models.
