NEW DELHI: The BCCI today moved an application before the Supreme Court seeking transcripts of audio tapes containing statements of Board President N Srinivasan and Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, recorded by the Mukul Mudgal Committee which probed allegations of IPL spot and match fixing.
The plea was mentioned before a bench headed by Justice A K Patnaik which posted the matter for hearing on April 11.
In the application BCCI has also sought the transcripts of statements by Sundar Raman, the Chief Operating Officer of IPL.
The application was mentioned by Senior Advocate C S Sundaram who was appearing for BCCI.
The counsel told the bench that they need the transcript to prepare themselves for the matter which is pending before the Supreme Court.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had proposed the name of veteran cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar to head the Board during pendency of the case in the apex court.–PTI
