Jaipur girl Ruhi Singh is making her acting debut with one of the oldest banners of the country, Bombay Talkies Studio, with their revival venture Chahe Koi Mujhe Junglee Kahe.
Ruhi is starring opposite Abhay Kumar, who is the grandson of Raj Narain Dubey, one of the founders of the studio.
Talking about her role in the film, she says, “The character is very much like me. Her name is Riya and she is a chilled out girl, who belongs to a rich family and is a complete spoilt brat. In search of true love, she runs away from home and the story takes a new turn.” The film is directed by Nasirr Khan, son of actor-comedian Johnny Walker.
Ruhi wanted to be a singer although she has no professional training. An adventurer at heart, she loves exploring new places with a passion for singing. She has also tried her luck at beauty pageants and catwalk modeling. She was among the top 20 finalists of Miss India in 2011 and 2012. Ruhi has also represented India at Miss Model of the World in 2011 held in China and Miss United Nations in 2012 held in Miami.
