Kailash Kher’s spectacular journey from a humble upbringing to revered pop star, Bollywood playback singer and television celebrity is nothing less than remarkable. During his recent visit to San Francisco Bay Area, Kailash Kher visited Nurture Kids open house in Pleasanton.
Nurture Kids offers academic enrichment classes through their STEM program for students entering K thru 8th Grade. They also have Lego Robotics, Bollywood dance, Piano, Guitar, public speaking, creative writing, Math club, reading club, journalism, theater, chess, yoga, arts and crafts, keyboard, singing, table tennis, and canvas painting to establish a program which revolves around the activities that focus on the all round development of each and every student.
Involvement in extracurricular activities plays an important role in the growth of a child. Their program features those activities that promote teamwork, leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, self confidence, communication skills and community awareness. Nurture Kids has four after school locations in Central Fremont, Warm Springs-Fremont, Newark and Pleasanton and one pre-school in central Fremont.
Addressing the media and parents Kailash Kher talked about his journey in the music world. His big break came with the song “Allah Ke Bande” from the movie Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II. The song became more famous then the film itself and its success made him a household name.
By 2004, Kher had been catapulted into national spotlight, and has since performed on over one hundred and fifty Hindi film soundtracks, has sung in over 14 languages on a number of regional Indian films, not to mention recording more than 400 radio and television advertising jingles.
During this visit to Bay area, Kailash Kher was thronged by fans on all the events he went to. His main performance was at ‘Chabot College Performing Arts Center, Hayward’. There, he regaled a houseful of audience with his melodious songs.
