Placentia, CA: A wave of music, color, and cultural pride swept across Southern California as nearly 4,000 people gathered on Sunday, August 31, 2025, for the region’s first-ever open-air Indian Ethnic Garba. The Baseball Field of Valencia High School was transformed into a dazzling festive arena, adorned with vibrant décor that echoed the joyous spirit of Garba.
The evening’s highlight was none other than India’s Garba Queen, Kinjal Dave, whose electrifying performance kept the vast crowd on its feet late into the night. Families, youth, and seniors, clad in traditional attire, danced in unison, celebrating heritage and togetherness. Dave’s soulful voice and dynamic energy created an atmosphere where no one wanted the night to end.
The event was further enlivened by sponsor showcases. Among them, the Jabsons booth, presented by Nijay International, Inc., stood out for its vibrant presentation. CEO Jay Parikh personally arranged free Jabsons snack gifts, offering guests an authentic taste of India.
Behind the scenes, organizers Adhir Shah and Varun Gandhi of Eventmor, along with Kishan Dholiya of Sake Spectacle, worked tirelessly with their teams to ensure seamless coordination for both performers and attendees. Food partner Saffron Spoon added another layer of festivity with a spread of sumptuous culinary offerings.
A special highlight of the evening came when Jabsons – Jay Parikh, Diamond Sponsor of the event, was honored on stage. He received a Plaque of Honor from Kinjal Dave herself and a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Artesia, presented by Councilwoman Zeel Ahir, in recognition of his support for the community and cultural preservation.
