PHAGWARA: Believing strongly that economic condition should not stop meritorious students in having quality higher education, Lovely Professional University(LPU) has been offering India’s largest private scholarship program.
A varsity release June 17 said that the advantage of this program has already reached thousands of meritorious students over the last nine years.
A student can avail up to Rs 3 lakh depending upon the program opted and the performance of the student in the last examination as the base of admission.
The last date to apply for admission to LPU with scholarship is June 30.
To be eligible for this scholarship, students have to be academically strong, and for scholarship entitlement board examinations, graduation or the national level tests are considered.
Admission to LPU engineering programs is through its entrance-cum-scholarship test LPUNEST which is now held in 58 countries.
In the last couple of years, LPU is also recognizing not only academically strong students but also candidates who have performed at state, national or international level sports, cultural, co-curricular activities, social services, bravery acts or research and development work. Scholarships are applicable to almost all the over 200 programs offered by the university.

Her father Lawrence is extremely happy on seeing his daughter being able to pursue higher education under the prestigious LPU scholarship program.
Shrella is a talented national level player of baseball and she has been provided free accommodation and food.
Rahul A.R. from Bellary (Karnataka), Sumanth Aleti from Nizamabad (Telangana), Saurav Suman from Bokaro (Jharkhand) and many others have also been enrolled with coveted scholarships based on their academic achievements.
LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal said: “For the last so many years, LPU has been continuously endeavoring to provide quality higher education to all meritorious students. We do not want that a capable student be debarred from receiving quality education only due to financial constraints. I am happy to see that we have been able to make this scholarship program available to contribute to the society.”
