ST LOUIS: It was an evening of unity, resilience and optimism at the Sikh Gurudwara in St.Louis area which opened its doors for all community members for a prayer service and candlelight vigil honoring the six victims of shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.
Close to 150 members of Indian community converged at the gurudwara to show their sympathy to the victims of senseless shooting and also praying for peace to the departed souls. Representatives from Hindu Temple, Gujarati Samaj, India Association of St. Louis, Tamil Sangam and other groups were present for this event.
In remarks prepared for the vigil, Gurchain Sing Tuli, Vice president of the local temple, said, “The Sikh community of St. Louis thanks you all for joining us and holding our hands in these difficult times, giving us courage and hope.”
