NEWARK, CA: A vibrant celebration of the festival, Gangaur Utsav was experienced on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 at Oasis Palace in Newark. This cultural event by Maheshwari Mahasabha of North America (MMNA)- West coast north chapter took all to down the memory lane of childhood memories from India. The event was full packed with Musical drama – a blend of skit, singing and dancing – ‘Tyohaar Wahi, Soch Nayi’ with more than 60 performers. The idea of kids’ involvement with Seva activity was like icing on the cake. 200 care packets with essential items were packed for homeless by more than 25 children.
This splendid celebration from Swagat to Gangaur Jhanki was a great team work by the new committee of the Bay Area chapter under the leadership of President Sachin Dhoot – and the Committee members Vice President- Shailja Maroo, Secretary- Puja Kasat, Treasurer- Akshay Soni, Cultural head – Shruti Soni, Public Relation – Pratik Kabra, Youth Coordinator- Pankaj Chechani, Joint Secretary – Priyanka Inani. Any event is not successful without the volunteers. The fleet of volunteers from registration desk to tear down needs a big accolade.
A lovely morning-afternoon well spent with culture, art, sumptuous food of Oasis Palace, entertainment and community with its vision.
