CHICAGO: The Kadva Patidar Samaj of Chicago (KPS) hosted its Navratri Garba on Oct 13 at Jain Temple in Bartlett, a north side suburb of Chicago
Over 900 community members attended the event which started with lamp lighting ceremony by businessman Chhotubhai Patel and Hansaben Patel. It was followed by a Raas-Garba program featuring Rohit Parekh’s Malhar Group.
Parekh enthralled the audience with his be taali (two claps) and tran taali (three claps) Garba performances. That was followed by the Raas-Garba .The event also included Sanedo, a style of Gujarati folk music, and Bhangra performances.
The event ended with arati and mahaprashad was served. President of KPS Narendrabhai Patel thanked all team members of Kadva Patidar Samaj and all participants who took part in Navratri Garba.
